The family home should be a place of joy and nurturing for everyone in the family. Everyone in the home should feel that it is a place of safety. It is also a place where children become adults, and adults become mature.
This is a story I made up around the lyrics to the “Little Drummer Boy”. Where did he come from? What was his life like? How did he end up alongside of the Magi?
Every one of us is both good and bad. We are sinners saved by Grace. So is this Grace absolute? Or is a merit system involved? In “The Judgement” in Matthew 25, Jesus sees the the answers in black and white.
For all of the conveniences that allow us to communicate at will with anybody anywhere; people are failing to converse in constructive ways. One reason is the loss of intimate communications that includes tone of voice and body language.
I do feel that all the ideas Christians have about people getting over their issues does not work if correcting emotions is not part of the process.
wayocross – I ask that we consider that the “Law is King” because the Law Maker is God Himself. Our country can only survive if we remember our roots and the very basis of our Common Law. In Common Sense (January 1776) Thomas Paine reminded the American colonists that in a free republic “ the law is king”.
Our attendance at church or our taking of communion does not make us a Christian.
I will be writing a series of posts about the scourge of cohabitatinon inour country. They will all use the tag “Cohabitation”. I feel this cultural shift in our population threatens marriage, the well-being of churches who don’t address it, and of course the children.
