I apparently had a swallowing problem before my surgery that was manageable. But it was impossible after the surgery (5 hours with a tube down my throat).
Besides wanting to call on God, we’ve already made a visible expression of wanting to follow Christ. As we have been raised to a new life in Baptism; we should seek out those things that are pure and represent the purity or holiness of God and Jesus.
The “Law of Sin and Death” relies on us to maintain our own individual morality. So we depend on the flesh controlling the flesh. From the outside that may look successful. But it falls short of perfection, which is the standard under the law.

A state of little or no change following a period of activity or progress. Do we know anyone in the church like this? I do; and it’s not just a question of a single person – but I would argue in many churches it is a percentage.
I suggest that this is the only avenue to the continued success of the American Experiment. Otherwise that’s all that we would have ever been.

Tolerance is the rule of the day. And anything goes including intolerance of other opinions. In reality tolerance leads to intolerance.
I benefited from the unity I experienced by literally seeing the Holy Spirit working among His saints. I also believe the Holy Spirit has given me a heart for “church” unity. Now I know about the glory Jesus has in Heaven, but I’m not as comfortable with His glory here on earth.
