Many people are involved with churches because of what it means to them. God’s got their backs, even when tragedy strikes. God is good and they’re forgiven.
Not all of “In the Beginnings” of Creation are at the front of Chronological Bibles. So here is my feeble effort to set the record straight.
There are people at the low end of the social scale because of their jobs, their vices, or their mental health. They and their children lead lives as outcasts to one degree or another. But what they are not is “prideful”.
The family home should be a place of joy and nurturing for everyone in the family. Everyone in the home should feel that it is a place of safety. It is also a place where children become adults, and adults become mature.
This is a story I made up around the lyrics to the “Little Drummer Boy”. Where did he come from? What was his life like? How did he end up alongside of the Magi?
Every one of us is both good and bad. We are sinners saved by Grace. So is this Grace absolute? Or is a merit system involved? In “The Judgement” in Matthew 25, Jesus sees the the answers in black and white.
